Washington State is blessed with possession of nearly three hundred islands. Although “Deception Pass Sunset” appears as if it is a black and white picture, it is not. There was little color in the scene and the underexposed trees appear black. The waters of Deception pass flow between Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands. This image looks out over the Straight of Juan de Fuca leading to the Pacific Ocean, upon which the sun soon set.
