Cape Meares Lighthouse, Oregon

The Cape Mears Lighthouse, the shortest lighthouse on the Oregon coast, was commissioned on January 1st, 1880. It touts a one-ton first order Fresnel lens that originated from Paris France, shipped around Cape Horn, and then hauled up over two hundred feet from the shoreline to rest atop the lighthouse platform which was then enclosed in glass and capped.
