We (Jack and Susan) were invited by Jane Henderson (tour leader) and Bob Cohen to accompany them and fellow members of the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club---Bert Filemyr, Ann and Mac Scott, Art McMorris, Barbara Thorp, and Connie Goldman---on an eleven day birding trip to Panama. We flew to Panama City, via Detroit and Newark, on 3/9 and returned to Detroit on 3/19.

We were fortunate to have Hernan Arauz as our guide. Hernan must rival St. Francis of Assisi in having the knack of speaking to birds. We witnessed many such "conversations". Hernan and our companions made this a truly memorable trip.
