This is a very scarey image to me, reminds me of some horror movies scene. :)
But an excellent shot!

This is a really super black and white image. I have been doing them all month and looking at others in the group who are doing the same. This would fit in nicely. Very well done. Voted.

WOW! So many of them! Nice catch!
Antje Schulte05-Nov-2005 09:56
Starlings, aren't they? Birds gathering on wires sums up fall pretty nicely for me. I love the B&W version! The mood is just perfect.

Ha! Great!

Excellent image. I like the b&w - it's more dramatic. Great job! Voted.

Excellent shot!! Love the black and white version! Reminds me of Hitchcock's 'The Birds'! A little spooky, but very dramatic!
Buz Kiefer30-Oct-2005 23:03
What a shot James. I think the nature of the image is enhanced by the B&W.

Oh yes, Hitcockish for sure. What a bonus getting the train into the shot as well..GMV

nice capture...reminds me of the old picture, The Birds....
Beverly Wickersham30-Oct-2005 12:08
Nice catch. Makes you wonder what they get out of it. The view? The companionship? The tingle under their feet? Who knows?
Karen Stuebing30-Oct-2005 10:31
Good catch. They look like they're about to attack the train. I saw lots of birds on wires yesterday too. Maybe they're migrating?
Olaf Herrig30-Oct-2005 07:13
Well seen, excellent photo shot!
Bryan Murahashi30-Oct-2005 05:51

Great timing! Never seen anything like that with all the birds and the train makes the shot. B&W adds to the mood (those birds are up to something).

Nice catch, good to stop and get the photo. I prefer the black and white, to me it has more impact and is somewhat forboding.
Gary Hebert30-Oct-2005 03:49
the bnw is good, but I prefer the color version... excellent capture James...
Guest 30-Oct-2005 03:48
