Hi Joe
The Disney pictures by Bud and your restoration are absolutely Gorgeous!! Thanks for taking the time to allow us this fantastic peek into days gone by. Small inacuracy in the dating - can't be opening day 1955 - if you look at the horizon in image bud.disney-09.jpg you will see the Skyway Buckets - they didn't open the skyway until 1956 a year after opening the park. Still some of the finest early Disneyland images I have seen. Much appreciated!!!!!!

Joe, Thanks for the comments about my site. You do a fine job with the action too! I like how you approached the auto racing with the tight shots, it works well with the open wheel cars...I moght try that myself if I get to shoot them again someday...

Hi Joe!
I see that you've added some getty museum pictures. I was just there last week. You made good use of your wide angle lens. I love the new perspectives you took.
I miss you guys. Say hello to Ada for me.

I have a book out regarding a lightning strike on Half Dome (Shattered Air. A True Account of Catastrophe and Courage on Yosemite's Half Dome), plus a PowerPoint program on the story. I just presented it for the Yosemite Association in Yosemite.
My query here is, I saw one photo looking down the cables that, if it's available, I might possibly use in my program as it shows the depths off to the side. I am presently using many photos from other photographers; program is highly received from audiences. It and the book can be seen on my website: www.bobmadgic.com
Thanks.
I look forward to hearing from Joe.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for your comment on my Amsterdam gallery.
I make the frames myself in photo shop with a black brush on a white layer. If you work with photo shop, I can explain it more if you like.
Bye Victoria

Joe,

It is a small world. I found your Huntington Beach Memorial 2005 Gallery and I recognize the pictures. I stood next to you on the pier, the pictures of the girl surfer throwing her friend of his surfboard, the women pro surfer whose face was on a Billboard on PCH, the shirtless long board rider.

I was the guy with the Canon XT and the 100-400L. Nice pictures.

I will tell my friends about his gallery so they can see more of the pictures of So. Cal.

Take care!

Hi Joe, thanks to for your comment to my candit gallerie ! The D70 is a fine tool, i had it about 2 Years ! Of course the D2X i got, is not to compare, but be shure, she is much more difficult to handel than a D70 ! You need a higher shutter speed than with the d70 to get the same sharpness. Also the treatment in Nikon Capture is very different. I take my pics with sharpness +1, but in Capture i give it back to sharpness none ! After all settings in CApture, i open it in Ps and then i sharpen it with following settings ! 300 - 500 with 0,3 - 0,6 Radius and 0-2 SChwellenwert ! (German, don´t know it in English)
With the d70 i had 70 - 150 1,2 - 1,6 Radius and 1-6 Schwellenwert) Hope it´s a bit interesting for you, see you G:)nter

Hello Joe. Thanks for commenting on my Alabama Hills gallery. Yes, most of those images were made in the early morning hours. I was there last November and even though it was kind of cold, the light was just perfect at sunrise.
I looked through several of your gallerys and you've got quite a collection. Good luck with your Mt. Whitney climb.
