People should watch scenes like this on a regular basis. It would help to focus our resolve. As a people, we should be more concerned about this event than who "gets voted off the island or is the next American Idol." Thank you for sharing this with us.

Amazing to see these images. Brings back the horror of this event. I remember sitting for hours in disbelief in front of the TV thinking this is "Hollywood" doing it's stuff. Unfortunately it was for real. Good to have these images on PBase so we never forget. Thanks for being there & taking these. That's the job of photographers & you did a good job.

Few years after , it is time to look the picture of this dramatic day. Difficult to say that , but these picture are good picture even if the event was a terrible one. The one on the firefighter and the one named last are certainly the best picture. Neitherthe less I've not been in NY since 2000 and I'll keep in my brain as long as possible this place were I was before.

5 years later and I still look at these as a mixture between surreal and horror. Nothing that I see at the site today can bring me back to that time...to all those that lost loved ones I hope your wounds have begun to heal sooner than the hole that is left in the ground.

i couldnt help to take the long way home 2nite to see how ground zero, "so they call it", is like its been awhile since ive last been in da hood....tho still unfinished 5yrs later it seems to be coming along....then i came across these photos and it totally brought me back, not bad im impressed "jay"

i have so much to say about these photos, but insufficient words to do so adequately. it's hard to comment on something so horrific, but as cliché as it might sound, some of these pictures really do speak a thousand words. some great photojournalism here.

You’ve documented the sad events if 9/11 well, most of the photos have good colour and impact. The level of destruction is so hard to get your head round it doesn’t seem real, it’s like the set of a huge disaster movie!
