Cap Roig Botanical Gardens
Cap Roig is basically a series of terraced gardens cascading down from a hilltop castle down to the beach, linked by elegant footsteps lined with tall cypresses. In summer the scent of yellow sage, oleander and bougainvillea is absolutely heavenly but if you want the best coastal views, head for the Mirador de la Lady (The Lady’s Viewing point) or the Cactus Garden.
The annual open-air music festival is held in the plaza or square in front of the castle (which is permanently closed) and attracts some top international names.
