The dining room is presided over by a monumental chimney made from walnut and marble designed by Camil Oliveras, responsible alongside Gaudí, for the wainscot panelled and the coffered ceilings in the rooms in this south corridor and a good part of the decoration of the palace. On one side of the chimney, a door integrated in the design of the hearth allowed access to the dining room via a pantry connected to the kitchen by means of a dumbwaiter.
