From Reus, like his mentor,Francesc Berenguer studied Architecture, but did not finish the course. Gaudí´s protection, who signed all his projects, allowed him to carry out his profession despite not graduating. For the show-home of Park Güell, started in 1903 and finished one year later, Berenguer devised a property of a genuinely modern style. The façade is decorated with sgraffitis (an ornament resource that Gaudí never used) while the two chimneys and the conical crest of the corner tower are decorated with ceramic "trencadís" work.
