Planned by Francesc Berenguer, Gaudí disciple and collaborator, the present house museum was originally built as a show-home to demonstrate the residencial possibilities of the developement project. In the year 1902, with the park´s network almost complete, Güell commissioned Gaudí with this show-house to show possible buyers the plots on the developement.
