Nancy and John visiting my place

Nancy and John Blodinger are a couple from Richmond, Virginia. We got acquainted via my PBase site. They are here for a week on holiday. On Tuesday we paid a short visit to Delft and Rotterdam, while the rain was pouring down during the whole day. We concluded our visit with a dinner at Het Gesprek. Site of Nancy and John: ----- https://pbase.com/hadley
We had an appointment at Delft station. This is the view of the skyline of Rotterdam, seen from my (rainy) train window

John actually lost his baret, so they later bought a new cap, badly needed for him due to the low temparatures and the absence of insulating hair

Rotterdam Stadhuisplein. John standing next to the very first car I ever had, a Fiat Cinquecento. Way back in 1961.
John is carrying a painting he made back home and which he carried all the way to give to me. Later on there are photos I made of this painting.

John is 'addicted' to oil paint. I must admit you get much more effect then with acryl. You more or less add a dimension to a painting. look at the way he depicted the waves. Virginia rules the waves for me from now on.
