Guangxi - Jinkeng: Golden Rice Terraces

Longji terrace was cultivated from Ming Dynasty.
For centuries, all the nationalities here, mainly Zhuang and Yao minorities
work hard at it with meticulous tillage from generation to generation.
Located in the northeast of Longsheng County, 80 kilometerss from Guilin.
Going all the way up to a string of 2600 feet mountains.

I was there in March, during my trip to China. The pictures are still waiting to be process and loadeds into Pbase. I love this place but the March period was not the best one.
You captured wonderful sights, sceneries and landscapes. I thonk that your galeery is the best in Pbase on this type of subject. You've my vote. Patrick

Yes, this is Longji and not Longsheng, Fil.
IMHO, Longji is much better, since Longsheng (Pingan) is a small area and full of visitor.
You're right, the best season for this place is at the end of May (filled with water)
But it's not easy to get sunset or sunrise at this place.

Simply wonderful. I went to Longji before (I'm guessing this is Longji) and stayed in Pingan village...just a wonderful place for photography. I think you've captured this place well, but I will have to return there once the rice terraces are filled with water...now that would be an amazing sight. Anyway, amazing shots here, just amazing. Well done, mate!
