Supported by a national lottery grant through UK Sport. Began 2004 by reaching the final of the GB National Team Trials in the single scull and the season’s opening World Cup in Poland in a double scull with Elise Laverick. Went on to take world cup silver twice in Munich (once with Laverick in the double and then as a substitute in the women’s quad). Was fourth at the 2004 Lucerne World Cup finals (again with Laverick). Fourth at the 2003 World Championships in the quadruple scull. In the same boat category was also fifth at the world champs in 2002, seventh place in 1999 and eighth in 1998. Was 9th in the double scull at the 2000 Olympic Games after sustaining a broken rib six weeks before the Games. Had a year out injured in 2001. Began rowing at Cambridge University and made her senior British debut in 1998. Was a world cup B finalist in Milan in the double with Alison Mowbray (2003) and a finalist in the women’s quad in Munich and won world cup bronze in Lucerne. Works on a consulting basis for a marketing company.
