Nassauer Haus (Nassau House)

Nuremberg, Germany

It is one of the best-preserved examples of medieval tower houses (aristocratic houses). The fortifications are only of symbolic or decorative value. Presumably this building housed ministerial officials.
The two lower storeys date back to the early 13th century. In 1422/33 the upper storeys with the chapel bay window, the crenellated top storey and four octagonal corner towers were added.
After a certain WWII damage the house was reconstructed.

Wonderful perspective. I'm amazed you took this at 1/30 and the people all stood still for you.

And, now it is a T-Mobile store. Well, at least they restored it and are still using it. Here, they just tear them down and rebuild. But, of course, our history doesn't go back that far. Wonderful shot, Jola! Superb!!
