Chakad ensemble was founded in 1997 by a group of students from the Music Academy of Art at the Tehran University.
It has regularly performed in many cities of Iran as well as numerous European countries and Australia.
The purpose of this ensemble is to introduce real classical (traditional) music from different regions in Iran to the world, and also to introduce Persian musical instruments.
