Jola. What did you feel when visiting this place? I have had some similar visits to cemeteries in Mexico. I was overcome with sadness that the forgetting begins when someone passes and then another loss happens when the monument to their life succumbs to nature and families disappear or moving on. I also felt a sense of responsibility to read the names as some kind of acknowledgement. I have just a few of those images posted in my "collection" gallery. It strikes me that I need to go back to those images and present the whole set in a gallery such as this. Thanks for sharing. Daniel.

Just beautiful Jola! I love the old cemeteries too. They have tales of the people that once lived there. This one is especially effective. BV!

interesting place, interesting framing,, I believe the best in this gallery. Pity the sky suffers, unavoidable I'm afraid. I'm personally not sure if the part of a tree that's in TL corner doesn't disturb here. Ever thought of cloning it out just to see if it would be an improvement?

My favorite of the group so far. Nothing is truly vertical here, nor should it be.

Vote! This is outstanding. Great composition and good choice to use black and white. Such an interesting shot...a lot of things to see!
