just wondering what the meaning of those huge blocks is?

Despite not being one of your most recent pictures, it has a special meaning to me. Actually, when visiting Warsaw two years ago, it was one of the monuments I've been hardly searching for. Unfortunately, no one there managed to give me the right directions to reach it. I was aiming to feel how people back in 1944 lived the uprising and suffered its consequences. Thanks for bringing this image to me!
