Departing

Rineh, Iran

Mt. Damavand (5671m, 18,605 feet) seen from the car on the road to a township Rineh.
Rineh (also called Reyneh) is the capital of Larijan District, in Amol County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 860. It is known for its famous Larijan Mineral Hot Water Spring, originated from Mt. Damavand.
Water of this spring has a temperature of 80ºC, and has therapeutic virtues, for healing backache and leg pains.
Therefore most of Iranian and foreign tourists use it for relaxing after the climb effort. That was also our reason to go to Rineh.
