Named after Pete Aguereberry, Death Valley prospector/miner.
From this point in the Panamint Mountains on the west side of Death Valley, the white salt flats of Badwater Basin can be seen.
Elevation 6433 feet (1961 m). Badwater Basin is at 282 ft (86 m) below sea level and makes the lowest point in North America.
