The Great Egret also known as the Great White Egret or Common Egret or (now not in use) Great White Heron, Czapla biala (Ardea alba).
Photo taken at Ochsner Island (Bird Island) in Audubon Park.
Ochsner Island on the east side of the park features a rookery that is one of the prime birding spots in Greater New Orleans.
