The mile-long stretch of the riverfront area is adjacent to the French Quarter.
A great place for a picnic, a jog or just to catch a cooling breeze from the river.
As early as 10 years ago, this was not possible because wharves and warehouses blocked the river view when New Orleans was a huge port for bananas, cotton and lumber.
