I am showing this photo because it angers me. This port-a-potty is in a public playground in Rochester, NY. There are heroin needles in the urinal and drug baggies on the ground. The door of the toilet was wide open and is disgusting. The park is across the street from the Los Flamboyanes housing project and next door to School #20. Children play at this park. I was standing on the bleachers for the basketball court when I took this photo.

you should send this to the city... so disgusting and also so dangerous, in terms of needle transmission of disease

Unfortunately, this kind of thing is probably all too common. An excellent documentary photo. ~BV~

Great photo journalism - disgusting for sure.
Same condition in a lot of North American cities unfortunately.

Such a callous disregard for the well being of others, particularly children. Excellent photojournalism, Julie. Maybe you should submit this to the local Rochester newspaper or city council? V.

I'm speechless...sad, angry, scared for the children,...Your photos highlight the drug problem in our area.

certainly a frustrating sight...this amounts to a callous, reckless endangerment of other people, especially the area children..
