This is the Vale of White Horse looking towards Faringdon from Uffington White Horse Hill.

This area has been my home for a good part of the last 30 years - so I'll be accepted by the locals one day soon!

But this has been the home of Sue's ancestors for 300 years that we know of, so at least my children are locals!

I recently discovered through family research that my great grandfather, Luke Titcombe, was from Uffington so I was moved to see this view, which he must have known well. Thanks. He moved to North London and all his descendents lived there, which is a shame because it would be nice to still have family to visit in such a beautiful place! I hope to explore it some day. I still lived in London ....

I remember Andy's shot of the white horse. A beautiful place to belong to.

Nice rolling landscape, an old chap in our nearest village still gets called an incomer and he's been there 40 years, he only moved three miles from the next village!!
