20050810 Cotswold Panorama

Today, my son Ric enjoyed the very rare privilege of a flight in a 1930's Dragon Rapide (see similar model in picture below) - one of the very early passenger aircraft.

This aerial shot of the Cotswolds at Harvest time is certainly a better picture than anything I could have taken myself today. And I'm really impressed with the Fuji F10!

Thanks Ric

What an amazing experience for your son. I too am hoping to go up in a plane this summer and shoot some photographs. He did a terrific job! I love the clouds, the shadows and all of the different types of fields...wonderful!

Superb. The RN had a version of this aircraft in use until about 1959. It was called a DOMINEE.

Super shot, Ric. I hope there was no barn chasing involved :>)

Gorgeous shot Ric. Glad Dad posted this. It really captures the green fields of England.

This is great, John! Love looking down the wing at the beautiful scenery. Makes me a tid-bit queasy though, as I'm deathly afraid of heights.
