I think there's just enough subtle colour in this one to give it the edge oiver the B&W version. But best of luck with your monochrome plans.

Johnny, this, to me, is one of the finest photos I've seen on PBase. Of course the subject matter is near and dear so I may be more than a bit biased. The hoar frost covered evergreens, the stone fence, the curving road and the detail in the closed canopy... outstanding. This is one lovely winter composition. My very biggest vote for this one man.
