20-SEP-2007 John Charles Williams Ireland :)

one young widow's leafy voice...

Fall Freedom Forever Family Forest

irish lass of love
walking with care beside me
just one breath away

her broken heart strong
guided innocent children
vast frontier of dreams

she married for life
her heart's gifts are mine always
sweet autumn spirit

leafy love on pathway "17" :):):)

dream~~~dare~~~dive!!! :):):)

Inspired by my 5th great-grandmother, Sweet Ann Durham Morden, who fled to the Canadian wilderness after her dear 38 year old husband Ralph was wrongly hanged at Easton, Pennsylvania on November 25, 1780 as a persecuted Quaker... At only 37, this infinitely strong Quaker widow raised 9 children by herself... At 44, with her children and 2 orphaned grandchildren, Ann became the first white settler in what is today's Dundas, Ontario, Canada... She served as a Mohawk translator for a variety of folks, including Governor Simcoe in Ontario being a peaceFULL Friend of Native Americans. Her mystical leafy colors flow in her eclectic descendants across Canada & the USA... I am proud to be one of her great-grandchildren in colorFULL Chicago... This thriver matriarch lived a long life, passing away at age 89, shortly after her eldest son in 1832. My leafy pal in the photo is a sweet symbol of each ancestor who adds color in my everchanging life...

LIVE~icated to Sweet Ann's Dear Ralph Morden, my 5th great-grandfather who NEVER surrendered his Quaker values...

That is quite a story. Chicago is not that far from Dundas.

Makes me proud to be a Canadian & I believe your Morden people are United Empire Loyalists. You remind me to pay more attention to my ancestors. Thank you.

The Ralph Morden story from your ancestry is indeed a picture of courage and love.
A real life story, day to day survival and the sweetest of love for each other: the Ralph and Ann Morden story could make Hollywood clean again.
Your silhouette, perfect beauty of a Autumn leaf, the love story makes this an outstanding gift to us. My thanks.
