I am the Art Director for the Wild Blue Yonder magazine (Inflight magazine of Frontier Airlines). We are running an article on beach towns and mention Kiawah Island. I found some of your photos on Flickr.com
I was hoping you might have some to throw in the ring for a cover shot.

Please let me know

I represent a web developer at the Georgia Department of Labor. I need to get your permission to use one of your Atlanta skyline images on one of our conference web sites we are developing. We will be hosting a national conference here in November.

Thanks, TD

Hello John,
I really like this image.
I am an artist and do a fair amount of photography but dont know as much about computers as I would like to.
I have a question for you.
If you wanted to sell your photos online how do you keep people from just downloading them and not paying?
Do you sell yours online??
Is there a site set up for that that has gotten around that?

Thank you.

Just checked back to your gallery after not visiting in a while. First learned about it on the skyscraper page forum. Thanks for your comments on my work and my best compliments on yours. You have great taste in composition, color, contrast, and most importantly, capture. Love the wide angles... and the firework shots are incredible. I know from experience that they're not easy to shoot! Keep it up. Cheers, Arrian

HI, John
Thank you for visiting and for your kind words. Yes, indeed the karst caves were (very) colorfully lighted up, and I am glad that I was able to capture the scenes as they looked, even though I was without a tripod (thanks to Canon's IS technology and great performance (low noise) at ISO of the Digital Rebel XT).
You have an interesting collection of galleries yourself, full of impressive photos. I will return to view them in detail.
Rgds.

Hi John!
Thanks for your comment on my dolphins shot. To answer your question, yes, I was looking down at the water on a plank at the ship's bow. They were not jumping, just swimming fast, leading the boat.
The water is quite transparent over there and it only registers deep blue because the ocean is quite deep on those waters. Whennever they dove, we could see them down to 70+ feet on the descent...An amazing three hour ride, I tell you...
