Begun in 1981, The Sanctuary of Truth is a large structure, approximately 100 meters high by 100 meters wide, built of redwood, rosewood, ironwood, and teakwood, and almost every inch is covered with carved sculptures. It is hoped that visitors to the Sanctuary will come to understand "Ancient Life, Human Responsibility, Basic Thought, Cycle of Living, Life Relationship with Universe and Common Goal of Life toward Utopia."
