In 1626 Dutchman Peter Minuit bought the island of Manhattan from the Indian tribe who lived there for 60 guilders' worth of trinkets. And the place has been growing ever since.

Subtle, understated, and extremely effective at capturing DIMENSIONS of NYC rather than just taking interesting shots. Case in point: the City Hall picture, through leaves: it's only when one opens up the full picture that the interplay of natural and artificial, dark and light surfaces makes itself clear. Or the rollerskater on the rail, with the rapt attention of onlookers matching his intensity, which says something about New Yorkers aiming for the best. I will look at all your other galleries as well. Thank you and please keep posting.
