Saturday 27 May 2006 there was an earthquake in Central Java which "badly damaged the world renowned Prambanan temple complex, sending intricate carved reliefs crashing to the ground and destroying years of restoration work in seconds...[The temple] will be closed to the public until archaeologists are able to determine whether Saturday's quake also damaged the foundations or tilted the shrines...The nearby Buddhist temple of Borobudur appears to have escaped damage." I especially enjoyed the set of Yogyakarta, but all three sets were well done and
gave me a pleasant, informative insight into a part of Indonesia- thanks!
