The River Teign has its source up on Dartmoor and here it is running through a deep valley at Fingle Bridge just below the village of Drewsteignton. There are plenty of places to park your car at Fingle Bridge and there's also a really nice Inn/Restaurant. I've included some shots from the Autumn - when Fingle Fridge is perhaps at it's most dramatic - and also some from the Summertime when colours can be nice until the middle of the afdternoon, especially when there is a blue sky and heather in flower on the sides of the river Teign gorge.
We were so glad that someone thought to put the lovely fingle inn at the bottom of the gorge. A beautiful place to rest, eat and paddle before the mile walk back up the hill.
