Pai, a cute little town - located far away in the misty mountains in Thailands northwestern province of Mae Hong Son - about 110 km from the city of Mae Hong Son. Allmost completely inaccessible until the Japanese constructed a dirt road from Chaing Mai to Burma during World War II. Pai serves a melting pot for a diverse group of mountain tribes including Shan, Hmong and Karen. To many locals Pai is one of the last unspoiled places in Thailand.
