When I watch the weather radar I' am not surprised.Some villages here are hurt as well. My garage(under the house) gets 1- 2cm water with such weather.The reason is my waterpump is a bit overwhelmed..

Oh goodness, that's a lot of water! Do you have flooding like this frequently, or is this rare? Hope there was no serious damage.
