Today I decided to experiment with "portrait" photography a little bit. My subject was a really beautiful flower arrangement that Ginny made for Robert and Laura's party last Sunday. I tried to get a nice shot of it in a quick and dirty set up in the bedroom, but the results, well, really sucked. So today I had a bunch of time to set up and attempt a reasonable picture of the arrangement. I set it up in the living room (yes, dear, I will put all that crap away when I am finished). I went through a number of "poses" with several different lighting sets. It was really quite a bit of fun. I ended up with two different portrait which I will post in the in box. This was very fun. Flowers are better than humans because they are patient.

Yes, I did. I used the photoshop colorize tool.

I'm confused---or ignorant (after all, I live in Renton). I thought that if you use black and white light umbrellas, the resultant image is black and white. Did you colorize the image?
