This is the first time I have ever been admitted into the hospital. At 12:30 am I had a very sharp pain in the lower left abdomen and looked up the symptoms in our medical troubleshooting guide. I concluded that I had diverticulitis. The book said see a doctor immediately. We went to the emergency room and two hours later I saw a doctor immediately who said I had diverticulitis. So I got an IV for antibiotics and had a cat scan. Mary Beth should understand that they didn't use a real cat. It was some donut shaped electronic machine. So here I am in my room with my IV machine waiting for the Georgia Tech-Notre Dame to come on. Ginny took the photo and we watched the game. The Jackets stomped the Irish. I decided that I would never want to return to this or any hospital. I was bored spitless and the TV tuner rotated channels in only one direction so you had to go through 40 channels to go back one.

the last thing in the world I would ever do is attempt to get admitted to a hospital for no reason at all.

Your wording leads me to suspect that there have been occasions on which you attempted to be admitted but were refused. Can you shed some light on this?

And you paid - or your insurance company paid how much and you got a one way TV remote. Obviously US health care sin't all it reputed to be.

That TV channel-changing algorithm is a pain! Glad this episode didn't sideline you for a long time.
