We test fitted the axle to the machine, and things looked pretty good. You will note that the axle has green things bolted to it. They are clearly from a John Deere machine. You will note that the combine is red, clearly an International machine. The axle is unpainted, clearly a Donny machine. This is starting to look like Doctor Frankenstein's monster. Anyway the bad news is that Donny had hoped that the red tie rod would work with the green hubs. It doesn't. Looks like it might be a while longer.

Ginny and I are leaving for the weekend so I will have to wait until Sunday night to catch up on the drama.
