I didn't get out to take photos today, but I did spend a good amount of time reading "The Photographer's Handbook" by John Hedgecoe. It is a very good book. There is quite a bit of information about darkroom techniques which are interesting, but irrelevant to me. I haven't been in a darkroom in years. And then it was only B&W. So today's photo is from Christmas 1989. This is David at 3 years old. Isn't he cute? His mom thinks so. She still thinks he's cute even though he is now 20 and studying mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech.
Yes, he is cute, but no longer. Even mothers have shortcomings (but it's best not to inform them of it). I pity the poor boy for his being exposed to calculus. Parents should not abet such debauchery. Maybe he'll see the light and foreswear The Evil Math.
