This is my FlashFrame 200. It is a fine piece of equipment when I have all the parts. I lost the little bracket and thumbscrew that clamp the flash unit and emailed Omega Satter the manufacturer to get some replacement parts. Well, the reply from them was that they don't supply replacement parts, but I could send it in. I emailed them right back and asked what it would cost. I haven't heard from them since then (two months, more or less). I called them and talked to Peg Beverly who is the customer service manager (I guess) and she reiterated that they don't supply replacement parts and that I was basically screwed. A new FlashFrame costs about about 70 bucks! All I need is a couple crummy little parts. Anyway, I have sent them numerous emails, and there has been no reply. These guys make good products, but they sure don't care about supporting them once they are in the field. So, if you are thinking about getting some of their photographic equipment, you might think twice about it unless you are certain you will never need replacement parts.
I agree with John. The company is staffed by idiots. I promise I will never knowingly purchase anything from them. However, I cannot guarantee that I will not unknowingly purchase something from them (my awareness quotient sometimes drops off the scale).
Incredible attitude, they deserve to go out of business.
I contacted RCBS from England to get some bearings for a 15 year old set of obsolete scales. They sent me a new set free of charge. That is customer service at its finest.
Of course I now buy their products, and recommend them to everybody.
