There is a lot of farming going on out here. Priorities have to be set so that important things get done first. In this case, it is planting the corn around the duck lake. This may not be a big deal to the casual reader, but my father in law considers it sacred. Here he and his son Paul (aw shucks) are looking at the freshly planted corn with a bit of dismay since it hasn't germinated as well as they would like. No problem, that is why we have irrigation.
Don't worry about all the weeds, a wiff of Roundup is working its magic on them and they are destined for flora heaven.
