This is a Cessna 172 built in 1956, the first year of production. These early cessna 100 series airplanes have the distinctive straight tail. It is registered to Donald Glenn of Early, TX. Guess it's a transient. I haven't seen this one before.
I used to fly a 1956 Cessna 172 right after I got my Private ticket in 1978. The N no. was N5847A! That bird & this one have to be just about kissing cousins!!!! I've flown the newer model 172's also, and for me, the old straight tail job was more fun!!!
