In the never ending saga of getting the 170 working perfectly, I have come to the conclusion that the starting problem is the starter itself. The battery and charging system are up to snuff, as far as I can tell. So I pulled the starter and opened it up to see what it was like inside. Everything seemed to be fine, so I took it off to be checked out. I hope to have it back early next week. If that doesn't do it, I am going to rework the ground system.
