In case you are wondering, Brass Rat is the unofficial name of the class ring from MIT. I had the good fortune to get my bachelor's degree and Ph.D. from there. There are three other brass rats in the family, my wife Ginny got her Ph.D. there and my son Richard got his bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Richard's wife Christiane got her bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the 'Tute.

I got my Bras Rat with Class of '65 - and it looks just like yours. Now I find out that each class is designing their own Rat, and naturally they look somewhat different - not the "Standard Brass Rat" That bothers me somewhat
