This was a very good day. We made the three hour drive from Bloomfield to Albuquerque and stopped for the night with our dear friends Tom and Doris. We met them in 2012 on a river cruise in Europe. They are very well traveled and we love to talk with them about places to go and things to do. So it was a nice visit. There was dinner out at Sadie's for a New Mexico take on Mexican food. It was very good. Back at the house we sat down for several hours of Rummikub, a favorite game. Then it was lights out. Everybody was bushed. Actually Ginny objected to using the word bushed in the previous sentence. That is an expression I remember first hearing my dad say when I was a little guy. So just for Ginny, I will rephrase it and say "Everybody was greatly fatigued from the days activities."
