Our adventures in San Francisco yesterday weren't very fun. The tour fiasco in the morning and the mobs of people drove me nuts. All we had to do today was get out to Napa. That means some time on our hands. Ginny really wanted to ride on the cable car, so we decided to have a go. Our hotel was close to the northern end of the Powell-Hyde line at Fisherman's Wharf. We got there about 7:30 and got on a car. By the time it departed there were only about 20 people aboard. That was a pleasant ride. We figured that we should ride it back. fat chance. There was a block long line of people at the other end, so we said screw it and headed back to the hotel by Uber.
We loaded up the van which took a while since all the stuff had to be carted down from the room. Next stop was Muir Woods. We were lucky that somebody told us that parking reservations were needed. We were there about 35 years ago. I don't remember much. There was a flat hike of about 2 miles round trip. The Redwoods are impressive. I like them more than the sequoias.
