Today it was a trip into King's Canyon National Park. We visited there 35 years ago when our oldest son was just 2 years old. The smoke from the fires was an issue.
The first stop was the famous General Grant tree. It is darned big. Then we went on a hike that looped through the North Grove. I was grumbly because it went a LONG way downhill which means, of course, that you have to walk a LONG way uphill to finish the hike.
The views of the canyon were poor. We drove the length of the park and had a nice ranger talk at the Visitor Center and a nice hike around Zumwalt meadow. The views of the canyon walls from the Meadow wasn't too bad. That is what today's photo is of. Ginny took this one.
