We had a nice time this morning. We went to Winterthur, one of the DuPont homes in Northern Delaware. They had an exhibition about art forgeries.I don't know squat about art, but this was interesting because it talked about all kinds of forgeries from paintings, to historical objects to old wine. Now days there is quite a body of forensic science devoted to this kind of work. With all the modern spectroscopy and other analytical methods quite a bit can be deduced from an object, including authenticity. This is a discipline that I would have found very interesting as a profession. Today's photo is of a part of the main building on the property. It is actually seven stories tall. There are many other buildings and massive gardens. We took a trolley ride and got a glimpse of lots of things.
