We went on a shopping trip today. I was mostly along to drive the car, but there were some things I was interested in finding. There are fewer and fewer things we have to buy for the house. Mostly small things like curtain rods and soap dispensers. The major items yet to be acquired are new chairs for the kitchen table. During the flood, five of our eight chairs were destroyed. You might remember that our kitchen table was refinished from the natural hard maple to a darker color. So the new chairs have to match the refinished table. The local chair store that Ginny likes is Amish Furniture. We have made several trips there and went back today to compare the old chair (right) with possible replacements. It is handy to have the old one along so we can compare comfort and size. On the left is the current lead candidate. I know enough to just stand back and keep my mouth shut.
