Project Day 95 - Exile Day 45 - There was no work going on at the house today. I went over there to test the alarm system and make sure everything is ok for the carpet installation. There were a number of wires exposed when the old carpet was removed and with seven weeks of workers stomping over them I was concerned that something might have been broken. I called the alarm company and we ran diagnostics a couple times so it appears that all is in order. Good news. There is one cut wire which I was afraid would be a problem. Upon closer inspection it appears to be an old phone lead which wasn't in use. Also good news.

One thing that is interesting is the amount of rework that has been required. There doesn't seem to be very much but I have no basis for comparison. Today's photo is of the bar which required quite a bit of rework. Whoever installed the upper surface didn't get it in square. And whoever put in the back splash where it was evident to surface wasn't right didn't mention it. But Ginny noticed it for sure and they had to spend quite a bit of time removing and reinstalling it. Ginny is very observant and doesn't want anything out of whack. That is why she is the project manager and I cook dinner.
