Project Day 63 - Exile Day 13 - A bunch of stuff going on at the house. Diego and his crew were busy installing baseboards. All of the upstairs baseboards were removed and most of the downstairs as well. The tile guy came and started working on the shower enclosure. It seems to be slow work because they have to cut a lot of tiles to get things lined up properly. So it was up and down the stairs to the saw that was set up outside.
Perhaps they will finish it all tomorrow. That would be nice. Now that the new stuff is being installed, it feels like progress is being made. I have remarked about that before. During the demolition phase it seemed like a downward spiral. To me the turnaround point was when the sheet rock was installed. Now the stuff sitting on the driveway is new stuff to be installed rather than demolition debris.

Today's photo is of the shower enclosure. The red stuff you see is some sort of sealer they put over the hardieboard. You need a good surface for the adhesive to stick to.
