Day 42 - As far as the project goes, still packing and culling stuff. Ginny is the queen of that exercise. Every time she empties a drawer or cabinet, she takes the pulls off. That gives a good perspective of how far we have come. All the kitchen and bathroom cabinets are to be replaced which means they have to be empty when the demolition crew shows up.
On the photography side, I started into a group that I took in 1970 on a Europe trip with my mom. The trip was about two months and we saw a lot of stuff. I took my Canon FT/QL SLR so the photos should be a lot better that all those instamatic ones. I am trying to figure out how good a job my new scanner is doing. What is comes down to is the quality of the slide images. I am looking at them with a slide projector and they look pretty good. When I blow up the scans they don't look as good on the computer, but I have no way to optically examine the slides at a high magnification (like 30X or so). My old childhood microscope was no help. The highest magnification gadget I have is a 10X Codington lens. Not quite enough for what I need. My Nikon 9000 is packed safely away until the project is over. So, I am at a loss.
Today's photo is of Ludwig II's beautiful Neuschwanstein Castle. It is magnificent. It has a great setting. I was looking at the balconies in the middle trying to see what the focus is like. Frustration.
